Ancient Greek Gods & Goddesses Research Project

Objective: To develop an deep understanding of your own god/goddess To teach your classmates about your particular god or goddess

Gods & Goddesses Kronos, Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Hestia, Ares, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Dionysus

Gods & Goddesses: Research For each god, you need to research and fill out the blanks on your note catcher sheet about the following information: Their Greek name AND their Roman name Their domain (what they are the god of) [QRE detail] What special ability/power they possess [QRE detail] Any special item that they use or is associated with them [QRE detail] Their family [QRE detail] A myth that involves them (retold, at least three paragraph)

Gods & Goddesses: Poster On your poster, you need to have the following components: Their Greek name AND their Roman name Their domain (what they are the god of) What special ability/power they possess Their unique item Their family A hand drawn and colored image of the god or goddess with an item/object that is important to them OR an important symbol/logo that represents the god or goddess

Gods & Goddesses: Presentation On Friday/Monday you will present to your classmates The information on your poster A re-telling of the myth you researched – this can’t be read off of a piece of paper. You may bring note cards with key points to help remind you, but you should be reading to the audience and not from a paper. A brief explanation of your picture
