Personality styles associated with non-melancholic depression Research has shown that there are certain personality styles that are associated with the development and/or persistence of non-melancholic depression. These include
The anxious worrier – this is the most common personality style associated with non-melancholic depression.
Perfectionistic
People who are self-critical
Socially avoidant
Self-focused
And rejection-sensitive (not just to love – it could be rejection from other people, the job you wanted, etc.). It is worth noting that these personality styles are not ‘set’ types – everyone will have a few of these styles to some degree and they can vary and change depending on how you deal with life.
