Prioritization Criteria Will summarize existing framework documents that informed the sub-regional strategies e.g., NOAA Guidance, TRT documents, FCRPS BiOp, NPCC F&WP comments For each monitoring category, the “framework” will include: Management Questions? Indicators Framework Statement standard monitoring elements that must be included in ea. sub-regional strategy Prioritization Criteria

VSP-Abundance Management Questions? Indicators Framework Statement What is the natural + hatchery abundance in the Columbia Basin? What is the population-level natural spawner abundance relative to TRT viability criteria or recovery plan goals? Indicators # spawners HOS, NOS Age structure Total harvest Framework Statement High precision adult status and trend data for at least one population per MPG Lower precision adult status and trend data of known certainty for every population per MPG Prioritization Criteria 1st – ensure high precision monitoring for one population per MPG prioritizing TRT “must-have” populations 2nd - ensure population-level status and trend monitoring of known certainty for every population a. TRT “must have” populations b. TRT “optional must-have” populations c. TRT “maintain” populations
