The project The general objective of the project is to support the dissemination and learning of experiences and good practices of European regional policy and to achieve greater cooperation between the authorities of three Brazilian states (Pará, Paraná, Pernambuco) and counterpart regions in the European Union, in the definition and implementation of decentralized innovation and smart specialization policies at the regional level.

The project Specific objectives are: a. To facilitate the exchange and transfer of information and lessons learned on the promotion of regional innovation systems, including linkages with national policies; b. To include the analysis of policies addressed to support clusters and SMEs; c. To identify concrete projects or programmes for the development of regional and national competitiveness initiatives that each participating Brazilian state could implement in the short term.
