Last Chance to Attend Esperanza Training for Grades 1-3 ESPERANZA Trainings Reading is critical to academic and economic success and lifelong learning.  Research is clear about what is necessary for successful and engaged reading. By far, the most important element is a knowledgeable and skilled teacher of reading.  Consequently, a goal of the HISD Literacy Plan is to build teachers’ knowledge and skills. The Esperanza training offered by Valley Speech, will build 1-3 Bilingual teachers’ knowledge of foundational literacy in Spanish.    The Curriculum, Multilingual and Professional Development Departments will be offering two more training sessions for ESPERANZA program for Grades 1-3 Bilingual Teachers this fall. Please sign up as soon as possible as we will only have space for 150 participants per session.
