Junior College Prep 11/5/18

Junior Year Goals Take care of yourself! Find a healthy balance in your life (school, health, family, friends, fun, etc.) Do your best in your classes. If you will miss a class, talk to your teacher beforehand. Keep up good study habits and use your study hall efficiently. If you are having trouble in a class, work with your teacher. Get involved in school activities and out-of-school activities. Show initiative and genuine commitment. Look for leadership opportunities.

Junior Year Goals Junior year is the time to prepare for the application process. Begin to make a list of colleges that interest you. Research admissions information (application requirements, average GPA, SAT and/or ACT scores). Use college planning spreadsheet to stay organized. Visit colleges and request information. Explore and research careers that interest you. Study for SAT and/or ACT.

ACT Profile Inventories Click “Plans” Click “Inventories” These Inventories are quick and simple ways to help you learn more about yourself. The results will suggest occupations and college majors that fit your interests, abilities, and values.

Interest Inventory The things you like to do now can give you clues to occupations you might like in the future. This Inventory can help you discover your interests and find occupations you may want to explore. This Inventory consists of 72 questions. Don't consider your ability to do the activity-only your interest in it. Try to answer like or dislike as often as possible. Select-depending on your interest in the activity Dislike - I would dislike doing this activity Indifferent - I don't care one way or the other Like - I would like doing this activity
