Data Analysis Reason Grade Race School Type Total Number of Dropouts: 13,883 Average Dropout Rate: 1.72% Data Analysis Infographic Link Reason Grade Race School Type The most popular reason for dropping out is disliking the institution. Dropouts tend to increase as grade level increases. Hispanics and African Americans have the highest average dropout rate. Data Analysis Location Gender 58 Counties w/ More Male Dropouts County with the lowest dropout rate: Cambria (.527%) # of Schools with No Dropouts: 122 Data Analysis Location Gender 58 Counties w/ More Male Dropouts 6 Counties w/ More Female Dropouts 3 Counties w/ Equal Proportion 2 Counties with highest dropout rate: 1. Columbia (5.49%) 2. Philadelphia(5.17%)

Conclusions We discovered that the average dropout in PA from 16-17 is.. A 12th grade Hispanic male from a charter school that is located in an urban area who dropped out because he disliked his institution Data Highlights Charter Schools had a significantly higher dropout rate than public schools (4.08% vs 1.52%) 33.07% of dropouts left school during their senior year Urban counties had higher dropout rates, with the two highest rates in the areas of Philadelphia + Pittsburgh
