Background Previously NHS PGD Website - part of NHS England Specialist Pharmacy Service (SPS) website since August 2016 Nationally recognised resource (England) Content continually reviewed and updated Managed by SPS Specialist Pharmacist for PGDs Supported by SPS PGD Board members represent strategic, regulatory and cross sector organisations

What does the PGD Service do? Answers queries from healthcare professionals across England – 250 enquiries received in 2017 and 290 in 2018. Produces Q&A resources and updates these as part of a rolling programme/when required by changes. Supports national agenda including supporting NHSE in working towards new professional groups being included in PGD legislation and NHSI with Carter 2 ‘Do Once’ programme development looking towards national PGDs. Supports professional bodies with queries and resources relating to PGDs.

Who is it for? Anyone in England looking for information or a solution to a problem about PGDs Commissioners NHS England CCGs Local authorities Providers NHS organisations Non-NHS organisations providing public health or NHS-commissioned services Individual Practitioners

Why do we need it? PGD Service - more than just development of website resources Significant pharmacy and professional/ agency networking Analysis of enquiry answering service demonstrates on that enquirers changed governance, practice or service delivery. Other outputs/contributions NICE PGD Guidance, learning events and implementation tools. Contribution to inform other national guidance and policy PGD e-learning programme
