Day 1: A Tour of State and Local Gov’t Using the AMSCO Civics text (Chapter 11), you will: Read pages 155 through 167 Answer “Let’s Think” questions on pages 157, 163, and 167 using complete sentences. Create a neat organizer comparing the requirements and responsibilities of the US President and state Governors Take a Stand: Write a brief editorial to a local newspaper arguing one of the following points. (Support your view with specific references from your reading!) A. It is more important for citizens to vote in national elections, or… B. It is more important for citizens to vote in local/county elections.
