Open a new “standard.iam”

New Tools! First thing….Click “Place”

Check the preview window to make sure you have the correct letter Find your letters… Check the preview window to make sure you have the correct letter

Place the letters Left click to place letters on the page Right click when you are done with a letter.

Un “ground” the first letter The first object you place in an assembly is “grounded”. This means it can’t move. Right click on this object and uncheck the word “grounded” to allow it to move.

Place the next letter…

Keep going until all letters are on the screen

Now arrange them…

Use the navigation bar to help you move pieces and rotate the screen

Navigation Bar Move the screen view with the hand Rotate your screen view with the ‘orbit’ icon

You can use “move” and “rotate” on individual pieces

The tool we use most often is called “Constrain”
