Rotary District 9455 “Homeless Hub” What is it? Homelessness strikes a chord with many Rotary Clubs in the District, and it is their wish to get involved in projects that mitigate or help end homelessness in WA. Some Clubs are well advanced while others are looking for the right project. The Homeless Hub was set up to support homelessness projects in District 9455, to link Rotary to the WA homelessness agencies and to advocate for homeless people within the WA community How can it help you? The Homeless Hub can: Provide a central source of information on homelessness for Club projects Do presentations to Clubs on homelessness Help projects get the resources (funds, people etc) they need Help Club members find the right project for them What has it done? To date the Homeless Hub hasprepared : A list of Homeless Agencies and what they do A list of Rotary homelessness projects in the District An over-arching strategy for Rotary Homelessness projects of the future Are there District Projects? Yes indeed. The District Portfolio will probably comprise: 2-3 big/strategic projects (eg Passages Resource Centre, Medical Recovery Centre, Eye Contact Exhibition) A number of small ones which are calendarised (eg Socks in the City, Foodbank Cans for Christmas, Sleeping bags from Cambodia) Regular Club projects Can our Club get involved?
