Lesson: 10 – 4 Inscribed Angles Geometry Lesson: 10 – 4 Inscribed Angles Objective: Find measures of inscribed angles. Find measures of angles of inscribed polygons.

Inscribed angle An angle that has a vertex on a circle and sides that contain cords of the circle. Intercepted arc: Has endpoints on the sides of an inscribed angle and lies on the interior of the angle.

3 cases of inscribed angles

Inscribed Angle Theorem

Theorem 10.7

3x – 5 = 2x + 15 x = 20 =3(20) – 5 =55

Theorem 10.8

4x + 2 + 9x – 3 + 90 = 180 4x + 2 + 9x – 3 = 90 13x – 1 = 90 13x = 91 x = 7

Theorem 10.9
