How will students learn? Students may visit a variety of sites, both real and virtual, and invite speakers to share their expertise and experiences with us. These experiences will provide models and examples of how individuals, through the pursuit of their passions, have made lasting contributions within their own communities and our society at large. Students will be provided with graphic organizers and tools to guide them through the inquiry process and help them to develop their ideas. In addition, we will be providing on-site mentors to support students as they plan, reflect, revise and complete their projects.
The Role of the Student Understand the purpose and requirements of the Exhibition process Ask clarifying questions as they arise Participate in selecting possible issues or problems for further inquiry Develop the inquiry by helping to decide on the lines of inquiry and the student questions Participate in the collaborative process of negotiating learning and assessment experiences Use a variety of sources and materials when conducting research and collecting information on a topic (not just internet research!)
