Email: ademel@elkhartisd.org Phone: 903-764-2979 Conference: M-12:55-1:40 T/W- 12:05-12:50 TH 8:05-8:45 F- 9-9:45 Week of April 10,2017 4/10-4/13- Report Card Pick Up 4/12- Easter Egg Hunt @ 10:30 4/13- Easter Hat Parade @ 8:30 4/13- Early Release @ 1:00 p.m. 4/13- Report Cards 4/14- No School 4/21- Meal with Mom Breakfast Language Arts and Reading- This week is a short week. We will ONLY have spelling. The words were chosen by the students. They are Spring/Easter words. There are only 10 words. Our spelling test will be on Thursday. Math- We will finish and test on Unit 13. This unit will cover Geometry skills. We will be learning about 2D and 3D objects and their characteristics. Flat surfaces, vertices, and edges. We will work on sorting and identifying the figures. We will start Unit 14 when we return from the extended weekend. Science-Organisms and Environment /Plants Social Studies- Producers and Consumers Health-Outdoor Safety We will have an Easter Egg Hunt on April 12th at 10:30. Each child will need to bring one dozen pre-stuffed and taped Easter eggs. Please stuff the eggs with individually wrapped candy. Please no loose unwrapped candy in the eggs. Your child will also need a basket or bag to hunt with. The Easter Hat Parade will be on April 13th. Students will need to make an Easter Hat at home, and bring it to school on or before April 12th. This hat can be made as simple or as extravagant as you wish. I hope that everyone has a very blessed Easter weekend! I know these kiddos will enjoy the beautiful weather and time off! Please make sure and initial their A.R. reading slip that I send home. The student’s clip will be moved if they do not return their slip on Monday.
