Description This introductory set of modules is designed to provide a basic understanding of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) standards. They provide basic information on standards in general, GEOINT standards in particular, and GEOINT standards management principles, policies, and organizations. . After completing these modules you will know: The meaning of the term “standards” and how standards benefit the government and the information consumer The basics in standards terminology The basics of the standards life-cycle The difference between GEOINT standards and information technology (IT) standards How GEOINT standards support user missions and enterprise architectures The standards authorities and policies that provide strategic guidance for GEOINT standards activities The principles used in GEOINT standards selection The organizations and processes that manage GEOINT standards Are the 1-8 listed above in the order the material is presented in the modules?
