Presentation transcript:

Lesson 7.1.1 Lesson Objective: Students will review their skills of determining missing side lengths of similar polygons, identifying congruent polygons, using the Pythagorean Theorem, and using the Triangle Angle Sum Theorem. Students will learn the definition of congruence in terms of rigid transformations. They will then determine if two triangles are congruent by comparing all three corresponding angle measurements and all three corresponding side lengths.

Problem 7-3 Facilitators lead your teams through Problem 7- 3 on page 366 of your book. Read the problem out loud or have someone read it while everyone in the team follows silently. Work with a partner and use patty paper to help you figure it out. Write your answers on the resource sheet to earn your stamps.

Problem 7-4 Facilitators lead your teams through Problem 7- 4. Read the problem out loud or have someone read eat while everyone in the team follows silently. Make sure you record your work on your resource sheets to earn your stamps.

Problem 7-5 Facilitators lead your teams through Problem 7- 5 on page 367 of your book. Read the problem out loud for your group or have someone in your group read it while everyone follows silently. Record your answers on your resource sheet to earn your stamps and be ready to share out and justify your answers.

Solving Systems of Linear Equations Review Everyone should have a copy of the “Solving Systems of Equations Review Sheet”. I will do a few examples for you. Then, we will do a few together.

Solving Systems of Linear Equations Review Now work with your team to complete the rest of the problems which will be collected at the end of this period: 4 - correctly and completely answer 11-12 3.5 - correctly and completely answer 9-10 3 - correctly and completely answer 6-8 2.5 - correctly and completely answer 4-5 2 - correctly and completely answer 3 1 - correctly and completely answer less than 3
