Paradigm is shifting from intuition, individual opinion, tradition, “the way it was always done,” to evidence-based practice for clinical decision making Extensive literature searches to find most up-to-date research on a given problem Evaluate research to determine strength Expert Team makes recommendations based on the research

Educate others to use the information and process outlined How to read and apply Professional CE programs and RT degree programs Lifelong learning

What is Evidence-based Practice? Orderly identification and synthesis of scientific theories and scientific evidence that leads to evidence-based guidelines
