What have we already covered in class that could be used as a concrete detail in an essay? Which part of HELP would it go in?

Directions: On a sheet of computer paper, copy down the prompt and draw the H.E.L.P. chart below. With a partner(s) you will fill in as many concrete details as you can. You must have a minimum of two per section. Write an essay explaining how words can impact others.

Gallery Walk Directions: In a few minutes, you will be participating in our very first gallery walk. In order to receive credit, on a post it, you must add concrete details to each prompt. Rules: You may not repeat a concrete detail that has already been used for that particular prompt. You must be able to explain how your concrete detail supports the prompt when called on.

What concrete details can be used for these prompts? Write an essay explaining your definition of pain. Write an essay explaining what is needed to have a good life. Write an essay explaining what is means to mature. Write an essay explaining why education is necessary. Write an essay explaining how people can make a change.

What concrete details can be used for these prompts? My definition of pain is trying to overcome a conflict or problem. In order to have a good life, success is needed. Being mature means demonstrating good character. Education is necessary in order accomplish a goal. People can make a change by assisting others in need.
