How to Deal with a Break-up Realize what happened and why Realize it takes two to make a relationship work. Accept your anger/pain and move on Have a good cry. It’s okay to be angry, but not okay to hang on to that anger. Move on as soon as you can. Keep your distance Take a break - No contact, no phone calls, no texting, etc.

How to Deal with a Break-up Think through everything Ask yourself what went wrong. Learn from the experience. Talk to your friends and family Great source of advice, support and counsel. Talk it through with the people that love you the most. Write your feelings down Write in your journal/diary, write a song, write a poem, etc. Pour your heart out on paper.

How to Deal with a Break-up Clean personal space Spring cleaning of your personal space. Get ready for a new beginning. Keep fond memories Think of how happy a song, picture or place made you feel when with that person. Don’t overreact Don’t jump right into another relationship. Allow yourself time to heal.

How to Deal with a Break-up Find happiness in other areas of your life There is more to life than being in a relationship. Begin a new hobby, read a new book, etc. Stay active Exercise improves your mood. Let go and move forward If you don’t let go, you’ll never find Mr. or Mrs. Right!
