Conditional Approval Summary May 2002 doc.: IEEE 802.15-02/181r0 May 2002 Conditional Approval Summary The IEEE Std 802.15.1-2002 was conditionally approved as a new standard by the IEEE-SA Standards Board on 21 March 2002. Editorial discussion must be added to the Introduction of the standard that points to the P802.15.2 draft recommended practice for coexistence. The following is the currently planned editorial discussion that will be added: "There is a body of generally available industry information quantifying the level of over-the-air coexistence between 802.15.1 and 802.11. Additional information may be obtained from the Draft P802.15.2 Recommended Practice on Coexistence which deals specifically with this issue." Note: We will also add a phrase that: a) Gives an expected date for the approved document and b) Explains that the approved standard would supersede the draft. See note below.
