PP – 2015-04 RIPE Resource Transfer Policies Presenter : Erik Bais – ebais @a2b-internet.com

Policy proposal info Author – Erik Bais Current status : Review Phase: Open for Discussion Version online – v2

Policy proposal In short : Create a single policy document, with all relevant policy text. The goal is to remove all transfer related text from the other policy documents and stream- line where possible the policy text to a common agreed policy text.

The general idea … The goal of starting this proposal … Is to clean-up the various allocations / assignment / ipv4/ipv6 and AS number documents … And the thinking was quite sound and logical .. But is it ??? …

So where are we exactly ??

So where is it ?? … The timeline for the publication of the Impact Analyses was quite aggressive looking at all the other agenda’s… RIPE71 agenda. IGF last week So what happened .. ?? ..

Marco (the RIPE PDO ) Schmidt

And there was a catch *

There is an issue in the text of the draft

Questions to ask from me to you.. Do we want functional policy documents that cover … all … ? … Are we planning to do similar documents or is this a special ? IPv4 Address Allocation and Assignment IPv6 Address Allocation and Assignment vs Transfer document

So .. Next steps..
