Effective Resume Hiring managers spend 20 seconds on average per resume. Add education, skills, volunteer experience, clubs, activities, interests. No more than 2 pages long. 3-4 bullet points per section. Practice interviews. Research the company!!!

Apprenticeships/Internships An apprenticeship is a good way to prepare yourself for the future with on-the-job training in a highly skilled career. Apprenticeships are paid jobs. Training comes from master craftsmen(experts in the field) Most internships are not paid but the experience gained will pay off later! Makes resume stand out from competition. Connect with people who already work in the career field. Networking Connect with people who already work in the career field. Call the company you are interested in. Ask about opportunities for shadowing.

Military Opportunities

Military Take the ASVAB test multiple times if needed. The higher your score, the more opportunities. Research jobs offered…its not just infantry! Talk to a recruiter. Make sure you are 100% committed to your decision.
