THE CODE OF MURRAY COUNTY D. Amendment: Chapter 26, Article VII Post Development Storm Water management – 1st reading AMENDMENT TO THE CODE OF MURRAY COUNTY STATE OF GEORGIA COUNTY OF MURRAY WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Murray County has determined that it is in the best interest of the public to amend the Murray County Code, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT SO RESOLVED, by the Murray County Commissioner, that the Murray County Code be amended as follows: The purpose of this article is to protect, maintain, and enhance the public health, safety, environment and general welfare by establishing minimum requirements and procedures to control the adverse effects of increased post-development stormwater runoff and non-point source pollution associated with new development and redevelopment. It is determined that proper management of post- development stormwater runoff will minimize damage to public and private property and infrastructure; safeguard the public health, safety, environment and general welfare of the public; and protect water and aquatic resources.
