Presentation transcript:

Session 2 - Dissemination End-users to be involved in the initiation and progress stages of scientific research to ensure end-products are used in implementation Needs to be a core part of the project / budget to include strategy for dissemination as well as research itself Defining realistic expectations between research community and end-users. Need upfront communications / honesty as to what research can provide. Cultural education between researcher and end-users to see each others point of views and constraints Working together –demonstration projects / communities of practice to share knowledge & understanding.

Session 2 - Dissemination Different levels of dissemination required…. Dissemination of scientific research to policy makers/implementers but also dissemination of research outcomes and evidence to local communities/riparian owners Communication of information from within the community – getting communities to inform each other – as will likely to have more impact if information is coming from within the same community
