FY19 SoM Process Excellence Poster Celebration Wednesday, April 17th, 1:00 PM-3:00 PM Location: 3160 Porter Dr. Pacific Ocean Room The Process Excellence Team would like to celebrate, recognize, and help share your Department based improvements with your peers, by highlighting what you and your teams are accomplishing towards the FY19 Goals. We are asking that you: Select one of your FY19 Goal categories (People, Operations, Environment, and Value) that you are making the most progress on or that is having the most impact. And demonstrate what you as a Lean Leader are specifically doing to help ensure the successful cultural transformation to an environment where every person every day is improving (i.e. by focusing on customers needs, fostering collaboration, ensuring all are engaged and accountable, and practicing the science of improvement.) Complete the poster template attached. If you want us to print a poster for your team, please upload the poster into Box (Folder: “FY19 Lean Leadership Poster Board Submissions”) by March 15th Invite members from your dept. who should share in this collaboration with you.

Process Excellence # of Launches: 5 # of Employees: 2 First Launch: August 2015 FY18 Goals: P E O V How We Serve the School: Stanford Medicine Process Excellence advances the School of Medicine’s transitions to a continuous improvement organization by working with teams to discover how to improve the quality and value of our administrative operations. Lean Journey & Management System: A Great Idea We Implemented.. Race to Eight Piloted a training program with three teams: Controllers, RMG Grants, and HRG Talent. There are three workshop in the series: World of Pure Imagination (Idea Generation), Metricize (Strategy Deployment), and Man in the Mirror (Reflections). Process Excellence Launch, August 2017 Results: 100% Foundational Elements 2017 2018 3 16 Race to Eight 7 24 Teams Huddling 64 94 Results notes: Overall, three teams went from having 100% Foundational Elements to 16 teams. The Race to Eight program increased scores by over 25% with all teams resulting in 100% Foundational Elements. 64 teams huddling to 94 Daily huddles/ goal cascade over 2 ideas Implemented per employee per month!
