Setting the Stage Nazis proclaimed that the Aryans or Germanic people were a master race Lead to the Holocaust – the mass slaughter of civilians, especially the Jews

The Holocaust Begins Hitler tapped into a hatred for Jews Blamed Jews for Defeat in WW1 Economic problems Nuremberg Laws pass in 1935 Jews lost citizenship, jobs, and property Forced to wear a yellow star on their clothes
