Art Discussion Holiday Prep Task Produce a mini-illustrated essay on two sides of A4 comparing the work of Sam Taylor-Johnson and an artist from the list below: Marc Quinn (Blood self portrait sculptures) Vincent Van-Gogh (self portrait paintings) Lucian Freud (self portrait paintings) Rembrandt (self portrait paintings) Tracey Emin (Self portrait sculptures/ photographs) Frida Khalo (self portrait paintings) TOP TIPS Make sure you give a little background information on both artists Use YouTube to find video documentaries about your artist to help you to understand the CONTEXT Describe the artworks using specialist art vocabulary Avoid repeating yourself!
