Personal Letters

What is a letter? It is a message on paper.

Who do we write personal letters to? We write personal letters to our family and friends.

Why do we write personal letters? We write personal letters to … tell others how we feel tell others what happened to us tell others what we plan to do show our care ask for advice

Let’s look at an example.

Begin your letter with a greeting. e.g. Dear Zoe, Hi Zoe, My dearest Zoe, Greeting

Write the things you want to tell your family or friends. Body

Write a closing to end the letter. e.g. Best wishes, Your friend, Yours, Closing

Sign your name at the end of the letter. Signature
