Points P A point has position but no size. A capital letter (e.g. P) is used to name a point. Collinear points lie on the same line. C B A End of Slide

Lines Line c A B A line has an infinite number of points. It goes forever in both directions. It is named by two points in upper case. (e.g. AB) It may also be named with a single lower case letter (e.g. c) End of Slide

Lines 2. Interval M B A An interval is a part of a line. It has a definite start and an end. It is named by its end points. (e.g. AB) The midpoint (M) lies halfway between the end points. End of Slide

Lines 3. Ray B A A ray is a part of a line. It goes forever in one direction. It has a start point but no end point. It is named by an end point and another point using upper case letters. (e.g. AB) End of Slide
