The mission of Polish maritime policy is to maximise benefits for the people and economy of Poland from a sustainable use of country's coastal location and the natural resources of the seas and oceans The strategic goal is to increase the share of the maritime sector in GDP and employment growth in the maritime sector

Maritime policy of Poland is an integral part of the mid- and long-term country’s development policy and contributes to the objectives set out in „Europe 2020: A European Strategy for Smart, Sustainable, and Inclusive Growth”. Maritime policy of Poland was approved by the Council of Ministers on 17 March 2015.

PRIORITIES OF POLISH MARITIME POLICY Strengthening the position of Polish seaports Increasing the competitiveness of maritime transport Ensuring maritime safety and security Improvement of the state of marine environment and shoreline protection Creating conditions for the development of the maritime economy based on knowledge and qualifications Rational use of the natural resources of marine environment Sustainable management of marine fishery Strengthening the national energy security Streamlining maritime governance
