Ocean Data View Reiner Schlitzer Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research

Software for easy access, interactive analysis and visualization Ocean Data View Software for easy access, interactive analysis and visualization of profile, time-series, trajectory or general sequence data. Available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and UNIX. Supports native ODV collection format and netCDF. Reads and imports many oceanographic data formats, (e.g., WOD, ARGO, GTSPP, WOCE, SeaDataNet, MedAtlas, Sea-Bird…) ODV Collection Format optimized for variable length profiles/sequences (original data or gridded data products) binary format providing dense storage and fast data access support for data quality flags expandable platform-independent can be used for many different data types

Example Data Collections

12,470 stations 367,023 samples

2383 stations 46,124 samples
