AUSTRIA Important Developments Statistical Database Since September 2012 STATcube the Statistical Database of Statistics Austria is online. The current system was extended to allow for registration and to order a subscripiton to access more data. The parallel operation of STATcube and ISIS (since 1972 it has been the official database of Statistics Austria) ends at the end of 2012. From 2013 only STATcube will be accessible on the Internet. Regional Accounts The main project in 2011 was the implementation of the NACE 2008 structure for the Regional Accounts. First results were available at the end of 2011. The timeseries (2007-2009) were published and transmitted to EUROSTAT. In 2012 the main focus are the backward calculations until 2000. At the end of this year timeseries for the years 2000-2010 for the NUTS 2 and NUTS 3 level will be provided. Urban Audit The final report for the Urban Audit - project, covering the years 2009 and 2010 was sent to Eurostat at the end of December 2011. It was approved by EUROSTAT.
