Goal and Purpose of SEARS-ST and SEARS-MT To document a set of standards that describes the qualities, skills and attributes that science/mathematics teachers should acquire/attain in the SEAMEO region to improve the quality of teaching and learning. To provide benchmarks and aspirational goals for relevant educational agencies in formulating policies to improve the quality of science/mathematics teachers and teaching.
