Animal Habitat Diorama Project and Report: DUE FRIDAY, MAY 26TH Mrs. Stone’s Class Classroom Newsletter May 15, 2017 Dates to Remember What Are We Learning? Math – (1.MD.1 & 2) I can order 3 objects by length; I can measure an object using multiple copies of the same nonstandard unit (object). (1.NBT.6) I can subtract multiples of 10 from numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 (decade numbers). (1.OA.7) I can use my understanding of the equal sign to determine if a number sentence is true or false. ELA – (1.RL.3b) I can use details to describe major events of a story. (1.W.7a) I can work with others to research. (1.W.7b) I can work with others to create writing projects. Science – (1.L.1.1) I can explain what living things need to survive. I can explain how animals and people depend on plants, animals and one another for food and sometimes shelter. (1.L.1.2) I can describe how people, plants, and animals need a particular range of temperature in their environment. I can observe how an organism’s needs are supported by different environments. May 15 –Day 4 (Computers) May 16th –Day 1 (PE) May 17th – Day 2 (Spanish & Art) May 18th – Day 3 (Music) May 19th—Day 4 (Computers) Discovery Place IN HOUSE visit: Amazing Animals School Store ***Last day to check out library books will be May 15th and books are due May 19th.*** ***Our last math benchmark will be next week.*** ***We are finishing up End-of-Year testing. I will let you know how your child has done on the testing once we are completely finished.
