How Mongols increased power Genghis Khan- means “Universal Ruler” Born Temijin in Central Asia in 1100s Conquered the areas Mongolia, Central Asia, Russia, Korea. Victories strong due to strong warriors, skilled horsemen and bowman, and borrowed new military technology such as the cannon. United Mongol tribes

Isolation- cut off Russia from Europe and deprived them from further advances.
