Things to consider What Paul might have considered childish. Characteristics of worldly people. Are these in the Lord’s Church today? If so, can we believe that Christ will return to a church with these problems?

Lying/Gossip 1) God hates lying Proverbs 6:16-17 Proverbs 12:22 2) As christians we must speak the truth! Ephesians 4:25 3) Our reaction when someone lies about us?

Complaining 1) Complaining displeases the LORD Numbers 11:1 2) We shouldn’t complain Philippians 2:14 3) God will execute judgment on those who complain Jude v. 14-16

Jealousy/Envy 1) Joseph and his brothers Genesis 37:11 2) The exact reason Jesus was turned in Matthew 27:18 3) As christians we should no longer posses this 1 Peter 2:1 Titus 3:3

Sowing discord among brethren 1) It is an ABOMINATION to the LORD! Proverbs 6:16,19 2) How should we handle sin amongst ourselves Matthew 18:15-17 3) God expects unity out of us as a christian family 1 Corinthians 1:10

Conclusion 1) WHAT DOES GOD EXPECT FROM US? Ephesians 4:22-24 Romans 6:1-6, 12-13 2) We must learn to forgive! Colossians 3:12-13 3) The “key” to all of this is brotherly love! 1 Corinthians 13 (v.13)
