Conclusions: Conducting the SEA of the sectoral programs will allow to improve the process of planning and to avoid many shortcomings and defects in different sectors Introduction of the SEA tool at the early stages of planning and development of the documents will allow to make strategic documents more “ecological” The suggested methodical recommendations will facilitate the further capacity building in the sphere of environmental assessment in the Republic of Belarus with the aim to join to Kyiv Protocol on SEA
