November 2015 Westminster Cathedral Primary School Assessment Workshop November 2015 Westminster Cathedral Primary School

Main Changes There are no more numbered levels This means that 2a, 3c, 4b etc. No longer exist

What will we report now? What we report now will be based upon the programme of study for each year group. Within each your group we will define your child’s attainment as one of these; Emerging Developing Secure Mastering Each of these comments is within the programme studied for their year group.

Important to remember... Age related expectations have shifted by approximately 18 months End of Year expectations for Year 4 are now very like what was expected mid way through Year 6 In conclusion to be ‘developing’ within the programme of study for your year group is an academically positive place to be. The ‘new’ language for assessment will take time to get used to – always ask if you are unsure.
