Wildland fires January 2014 21. april 2019 Wildland fires January 2014 This winter has been unormal compare to previous winters where it has been no rainfall or snow and a lot of wind in the western part of Norway. The vegetation in this area is forests of pines and close to the sea it is mostly brushes and grass.

Lesson learned Prevention: 21. april 2019 Lesson learned Prevention: More information about restrictions for using fires outdoors. Trees have to be away from power lines. Owners have to keep the vegetation down around the houses. Fire officers have to do the planning for handling these fires. Operational: The management/leadership have to be improved (ICS). The model of the Fire Services has to be reorganized. What tools is it possible to use when we do not have aircraft under windy conditions and at the nighttime.?
