MAPPING This project was realized in the summer of 2006 A total of 27 youth participated Mapping of youth resources in Rivière- des-Prairies That project allowed youth to validate and invalidate different preoccupations that they had about the environment, sports and leisure activities, city affairs and job availability. In February 2007, they organized a forum, inviting key actors in the community.

Selection committee The mandate is to select and to support youth-led projects. Composed of 5 youths Every 6 months, the selection committee encourages the youth to send their projects. For the past 2 years, we have launched a total of 14 projects.

ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE CREATE AN ASSEMBLY FOR YOUTH AGED BETWEEN YEARS OLD The committee is composed of 5 youths who are presently getting the project out in the community by presenting it to other youths in Rivière-des- Prairies. Right now, the group is working on recruiting more youths to create a movement where youth will be heard and have a place to develop ideas and projects that have impact in the community.

Café le Spot The Café started with a group of 12 youths who wanted to create a resource for young adults between 18 and 25 years old. We were funded through a youth-led project and received a total of 8000$ to furnish the Café. We have been opened for almost a year now. We organize sports tournaments and our installation offers computer access, a pool table, a flat screen TV and a cantine service that makes us the talk of the town! Right now, being a group of 4, we are trying to build a service cooperative with Boscoville as a partner. That way it will allow us to continue and progress our mandate.
