Climate and Human Activity -Natural hazard occurrences (some caused by climate) can affect human activity and have significantly altered sizes and distributions of human populations in particular regions

Climate and Human Activity -Changes in climate affect human activity (e.g., agriculture) and human populations, and that can drive mass migrations -other examples: sea level, temperatures, storms

Climate and Human Activity -human populations depend on technological systems to acquire natural resources and to modify physical settings -technology for survival: hunting, clothing -technology used to predict: tsunamis, hurricanes -technology to visualize or prevent: fires
