PROJECT REYDAM (ROTARY ENGELSİZ YAŞAM DANIŞMA MERKEZİ) ROTARY NON DİSABLED LIFE CONSULTATION CENTER ROTARY CLUB OF ADAPAZARI

AIM OF THE PROJECT: We aim to provide the necessary support for the disabled children and their families in Sakarya to share the same social environment with the society, to reach the necessary level both in academically and social areas, to live and independent life, to become productive and to live being aware of their legal rights.

LENGTH OF PROJECT 1 year starting from July 1, However at the end of one year based on the results it can be carried out with club resources in the following years. TARGET GROUP 500 disabled children and their families consist of: 100 of which getting monthly salary from government. 100 of which(0-6 years old) to be found through area search 250 of which continue education in one of the disabled education centers. 50 of which replaced various jobs with previous programs

PROJECT PARTNERS Sakarya University, İŞKUR (Government employment office), Associations working with disabled people, Social services child protection Agency Sakarya Branch, Other Rotary clubs PROJECT RESPONSABLE Past President Yüksel Büyükakten on behalf of Rotary Club of Adapazarı ( ) Past President Levent Bayraktar as secretary ( )

STEPS OF PROJECT - 1 Publish promotional brochures To form a project office (A 700 m2 saloon to be given by Y.Büyükakten free of charge to be used as office, activity centers like theatre, art, sports and music) To hire coordinator and secretary who have experience working with disabled people. Formation of Sakarya disabled databank With area research reach all village reeves, teachers and imams to find the disabled pre-school age children. To arrange meetings about increasing the quality of life for the families who get monthly disabled salary from government.

STEPS OF PROJECT - 2 To do fieldwork with İŞKUR for formation of job areas for the disabled. Forming groups of 50 people from the families of the disabled, hold seminars to inform about living with disabled. To provide the support for the disabled for joining sports, art, music and theater activities with the rest of the society To form a Down Cafe where the disabled children will find chance to work. And all income will be transferred to porject. To arrange seminars to inform the families about their legal rights
