Pre-separation counseling Element #48 2 Year commissary and post exchange privileges

Purpose To ensure the Transitioning Service Member (TSM) is aware of their commissary and exchange benefits after separation.

Eligibility TSM’s with honorable involuntary separations. TSM’s separating voluntarily under the Hubbard Act.

TsM’s With Honorable involuntary separation TSM’s separated between October 1, 2007 thru December 31, 2018, may continue use of commissary and exchange stores for two years from separation date.

Tsm’s separating voluntarily under the Hubbard act Members receiving sole survivorship discharge is entitled to continue use of commissary and exchange stores as well as MWR facilities for two years from separation date or the date in which the member is notified of this entitlement.

Exceptions TSM’s who elect to live in a foreign country may lose commissary and or base exchange privileges.
