NIH T32 Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology Fellowships Mandated through the BPCA 2007 legislation Provide training in pediatric clinical pharmacology Stimulate interdisciplinary collaboration among clinical, translational, and basic researchers in pediatric therapeutics research Enable the development of a pediatric pharmacology section within the adult clinical pharmacology department Purpose: help ensure that a diverse and highly trained workforce is available in an area that currently has a limited number of researchers. 

Children’s Mercy Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology Training Program Fully accredited by the American Board of Clinical Pharmacology (ABCP) Has formally trained 19 fellows since 1999 (pediatricians and clinical pharmacists, one pediatric nurse practitioner) Training model integrates pediatric clinical pharmacology with a primary pediatric subspecialty (e.g. Infectious Disease/Clinical Pharmacology, 4 year combined training)
