We Need To Pray! Examples of private prayer Prayer is communication Jesus (Lk. 6:12; 22:41) Paul (Phil. 1:4) General (Matt. 6:6; James 5:16) Prayer is communication God communicates to us through His Son (Heb. 1:2) We communicate to God through prayer (Acts 12:5) The disciples saw this need (Lk. 11:1)

Necessary Requirements Prayer must be by those who are “righteous before God” (1 Peter 3:12) Prayer must be “in faith” (Matt. 21:22) Prayer must be “according to God’s will” (1 Jn. 5:14) Prayer must be “persistent” (1 Thess. 5:17)
