Undergraduate Survey Data Collected Spring 2010

Background Information: Survey is sent out approximately 6 months after graduation Data shown was collected from 2009 undergraduate program completers 2nd year administering the evaluation through Qualtrics online survey tool Year 1 Response Rate = 11% Year 2 Response Rate = 39% A standard Likert Scale was used on the INTASC standard questions: Strongly Disagree (1), Disagree (2), Neutral (3), Agree (4), Strongly Agree (5)

Standard 1 My program helped me understand the content of the subjects I teach.

Standard 2 My program helped me understand the learning and developmental processes appropriate for my students and how to provide learning opportunities to support their intellectual, social, and personal development.

Standard 3 My program helped me understand how students differ in their approaches to learning and how to create instructional opportunities that can be adapted to diverse learners so that all children can learn.

Standard 4 My program helped me understand how to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in my students.

Standard 5 My program helped me understand how to motivate individuals and groups of students, resulting in a learning environment that engages students and encourages collaboration.

Standard 6 My program helped me understand how to use communication skills and technologies appropriate for my students to promote inquiry and student engagement.

Standard 7 My program helped me understand how to plan instruction using diverse methods, tools, and processes to make learning experiences relevant and meaningful to all students.

Standard 8 My program helped me understand formal and informal assessment strategies appropriate for my students and how to use assessment data to improve my teaching and student learning.

Standard 9 My program helped me understand the major trends, issues, and problems in my field;  I understand the important role of reflection in promoting personal growth.

Standard 10 My program helped me understand the importance of relationships with school colleagues, parents, and agencies in the larger community and  how to make appropriate links with these relationships to promote student learning.
