Regional ProDoc: An Implementation / Action Plan of Regional Strategy The ProDoc specifies the following: Why  Ch 1.1-1.4 (Last few days) What  Outputs (yesterday) How  Activities (yesterday) Who  Stakeholders (today) When  Timetable (today) Where  Geographical Focus (Last few days and today)

Introduction Regional ProDoc: many outputs and activities Monitoring and evaluation system Existence of risks which may impede the achievements Key issues to address: Institutional framework and coordination Bringing stakeholders in the process Timelines

Who…(1/3) RECs and SROs [§ 3.1. p. 23]: Five RECs (ECCAS, ECOWAS, COMESA, SADC and UMA) as sub-regional coordinators AFRISTAT will have the role of technical advisor Statistical Training Centers to be involved also in the implementation

Conclusion What roles to be played by each stakeholder (pan-African institutions, RECs, NSOs, CB) i.e. who are going to complete which activities? Which activities/outputs will be most effectively carried out and achieved at which level? (e.g. regional, sub-regional or national) Is this organization at national level realizable? Are the duration, the starting points and the sequence adequate to achieve the objective of the ProDoc?
