5. has phases, b/c we see different amounts of that lit half as the angle b/t the moon, us, and the sun changes.

PHASES are the apparent changing of the moon due to its changing position relative to Earth and the sun.

6. It takes the moon 29.5 days to revolve around Earth, so the phases last 29.5 days

1st is the New moon (just 1 night)

Waxing Crescent (last about 1 week)

Waning Gibbous (last about 1 week)

3rd quarter (just 1 night)

Waning crescent (last about 1 week)
