Volume 56, Issue 3, Pages 1049-1057 (September 1999) Lipoprotein(a) and apolipoprotein(a) isoforms and proteinuria in patients with moderate renal failure  Leonardo A. Sechi, Laura Zingaro, Cristiana Catena, Antonella Perin, Sergio De Marchi, Ettore Bartoli  Kidney International  Volume 56, Issue 3, Pages 1049-1057 (September 1999) DOI: 10.1046/j.1523-1755.1999.00621.x Copyright © 1999 International Society of Nephrology Terms and Conditions

Figure 1 Distribution of serum lipoprotein(a) concentrations in patients with moderate renal failure (N= 97) and patients with normal renal function (N= 153). Symbols are: (▪) creatinine clearance ≥90 ml/min/1.73 m2; () creatinine clearance <90 ml/min/1.73 m2. Figure 2 Frequency of low molecular weight (LMW) apolipoprotein(a) phenotypes (▪) and serum lipoprotein(a) () levels (mean ±SEM) in patients with different degrees of renal function impairment and in patients with normal creatinine clearance. The frequency of LMW apolipoprotein(a) isoforms did not differ among the groups. Lipoprotein(a) levels differed significantly (P < 0.02 by the Kruskal–Wallis test) depending on creatinine clearance values.
