In the Outer Hebrides, the Isle of Lewis and Harris is the biggest island of all. The Isle of Harris and the Isle of Lewis are joined together but the people who live there treat them like two separate islands. Around 20,000 people live on the Isles of Lewis and Harris. There is a small café on Canna. The new owners of the café said…….. It would have been easier to open a café somewhere else on the mainland, but its very exciting to open a café here. We hope we can make enough money from tourists in the summer so that we can survive the winter when the café is shut. There are problems living on a tiny island. We have to go off on the ferry to the mainland to do a big shop and sometimes we find out that the ferry wont be sailing back because its too windy.
